Welcome to the Property Management Association. PMA is an independent nonprofit
organization dedicated to serving the national capital region's property management
community. Today, the Association represents nearly 700 property management
professionals responsible for an estimated 750,000 residential units and more
than 120 million square feet of commercial space. The membership also includes
more than 325 firms that provide products and services used in the management,
operation and maintenance of real property.
PMA's mission is to provide practical education and promote the exchange of information
to benefit the property management industry. PMA goals are accomplished through
a variety of mediums. PMA sponsors monthly meetings featuring speakers and
topics on a diverse range of issues from building a customer service organization
to the current state of the property management profession. PMA also offers
a series of accredited seminars on practical and topical issues such as how
to save money or utilities or respond to the latest environmental mandates.
In addition to practical education, PMA offers its members unique networking opportunities at its fun and exciting membership events like the Spring Break Golf Outing, the August Social Lobster Bake, and the Holiday Ball. At these popular annual gatherings the who’s who of the property management industry in the nation’s capital gather for good time and networking. PMA strives to combine learning, networking and entertaining whenever possible.
PMA's publications have received national acclaim for their effectiveness and
our annual trade show-the Property Management Exposition (PMEXPO) - is recognized
as one of the largest and finest events of its kind in the nation. Complimenting
PMA's practical education activities are a series of programs that provide
a forum for industry peers to interact and capitalize on an unprecedented network
of information, experience and resources literally unavailable from any other
