The Annual PMA Maintenance Summit provides practical education that property management staff, maintenance supervisors, directors of operations, maintenance staff and community and property directors can use to improve service to residents and enhance asset value. A series of hands-on training programs are offered for improving maintenance procedures and reducing operating costs. In the morning, attendees have a choice of participating in a three-hour HVAC program or to attend a series of one-hour demonstrations and workshops that enable maintenance personnel to sharpen their skills in a variety of disciplines from lock repair to removing stains from carpeting. In the afternoon, attendees can opt for a three-hour appliance repair program or attend a series of one-hour programs.
Operational areas covered at the 2008 Maintenance Summit include:
- HVAC Troubleshooting
- Appliance Troubleshooting – Ranges, Refrigerators and Dishwashers
- Electrical Safety
- Carpet Cleaning and Stain Removal
- Plumbing Tools – Augers, K-50s, etc.
- Extended Blue Print Reading
- Insulation and Moisture Control
In addition to the outstanding programs, many of which will be taught in Spanish, the Maintenance Summit features a number of tabletop exhibits of products and techniques that help keep budgets in check. It’s the biggest and best event of the year for property managers, operations directors, maintenance staff and maintenance supervisors.
There will be a limited amount of display space at the October 15 Maintenance Summit. If you are interested in reserving a tabletop display, email Carole Worley or call 301-657-9200. The cost of the space is $500. There is a limit of one space per company.
