Topics Covered:

1. Introduction to Heat Pump Components: Participants will learn about essential components, enhancing their understanding and troubleshooting capabilities. 

2. Introduction to Basic Refrigeration: The workshop covers the refrigeration cycle, use of refrigerant gauges, Super Heat, Subcooling and the functionalities of different refrigerants. 

3. Scheduled Maintenance:  Techniques to maintain system efficiency including Delta T assessments, coil cleaning, understanding data plates,and evaluating air flow will be mastered. Participants will also learn the importance of proper filter selection and condensate pan maintenance.

4. Introduction to Basic Electricity: The workshop will develop skills in testing high and low voltage, amperage and microfarads, along with training on how to read wiring schematics and troubleshoot electrical components such as compressor contactors and capacitors. 

5. Basic Problem Solving and Repair Methods: Participants will learn to diagnose issues based on the insights gained through the workshop and determine when repairs can be managed in-house or when it’s crucial to call in an HVAC contractor.
